Our Story
Coffee with a family story.
Lucia’s Cafecito y Más opened in February 2026 as a small, welcoming neighborhood café, a little taste of home on Bardstown Road.
It started with family and food
Lucia’s was created by Melina Seifried, who was born and raised in Ecuador and grew up around the food and hospitality of her family’s Ecuadorian and Colombian restaurant.
That world of warm kitchens, full tables, and people who feel like regulars by their second visit is the feeling Lucia’s is built to share.

A little taste of home in the Highlands.

Behind the counter
Run by the whole family.
Lucia’s is a genuinely family-run business. Family members help operate the shop, especially on the weekends, and you’ll often see more than one generation behind the counter.
It keeps the café personal. It’s the kind of place where the people making your drink are the same people who dreamed it up.
In our kitchen
Made in house, with care.
A lot of what makes Lucia’s taste like Lucia’s is made in house, from housemade syrups to housemade whipped creams that go on top of our house lattes.
It’s the small stuff: a little sweetness stirred in by hand, a drink built the way we’d make it for family.

The Highlands
A welcoming corner of the neighborhood.
Lucia’s sits on Bardstown Road in the Highlands, open every day from morning coffee to an afternoon pick-me-up. It was created to be a small, welcoming neighborhood business, a friendly stop for the people who live and work nearby.
